Harvey, Hattie, I and some of my dachshund pals put our best paws forward today and did a walk in Highgate Woods raising money for Cancer Research. It was a good day, I had fun with old and new friends but I am pretty pooped now however it was all for a good cause. All us dachshunds (and Hattie & Harvey) wore ribbons to symbolise all the colours of the rainbow in honour of a friend of ours who passed away recently, little Winny.
I’m doing my bit!
I’m ready!
Here’s the very cute Lottie (red) and Duke. I first met them at a Sausage Dog Agility morning and they are a lot of fun!
Just telling Lottie a little secret, you know how it is, you need to whisper a few sweet nothings to get yourself into the ‘in’ crowd…
And I may have sneaked a little kiss to Lottie (something in the name I think!) just to let her know I thought she was a pretty little lady…
Making friends with the very handsome Sir Roger, we had a good old wrestle on the walk!
He liked me so much he gave me a little kiss, obviously something in the air today!
Super Ernie has arrived!
Off we go!
Making friends with Milo, we are so super speedy we were just a blur!
Come on everyone…
Woah! Wait for me!
Sausages on a log…
I had to check everyone was lined up for the full pack shot…
Yep, we’re all ready!
Me and my best pals Harvey and Hattie, proud of our fundraising
And the whole gang – we all made it round, 4km is a long way for our little stumpy legs!
A MASSIVE thank you to everyone who sponsored us on our walk, Harvey, Hattie & I raised a storming £360 which is brilliant! We’ve really appreciated all the support you have given us and of course your generosity.
But if you didn’t get a chance to sponsor us, you can still do so now by visiting our Just Giving page HERE and donating online.
Also a big thank you to the organisers of the event – they were brilliant and laid on water and BIG bonios for all us pooches! It was run very smoothly and we also received some goody bags full of lots of interesting things!
Dach’s all for now – off for a muscle relaxing bath…
