This morning when I opened my eyes, breakfast wasn’t the first thing on my mind, for once! Because I remembered we were going on a walk with our local sausage dog group for a long overdue catch up!
We met at the park, obviously I was chief Meeter And Greeter, checking out what size & coat types of sausages were arriving and checking in with my buddies Archie, Lenny & Otto. Once all sausages were present & correct, we headed off along the river, avoiding the French food market that was there. Mum thought it would be a good idea to go around the market as she was sure there may be some baguette snatching as our tribe of sausages passed through, I think she was looking at Rodney…
It wasn’t long before we reached the beach cove, my long haired buddy Otto was straight in there! He just loves the water however I don’t think his Mum was so keen on how soggy he was when he emerged!
Of course our Rodders was straight in the river, wading around!
I did contemplate a dip myself but I thought better of it, I mean, someone has to stay on the river bank and keep a head count of everyone…
Once all the sausages had finished their wading around in the water, we headed back off towards the cricket pitch where we could reconvene and catch up.
Check out this little choccie girl, Daphne! How cute is she? She definitely looked like the perfect match for our Alan, Archie & I were on a Cupid match-making mission!
The lads together! From Left to right – Alan (not co-operating as per usual), Me, Archie & Otto
And of course the obligatory group shots, had to be done!
We had a really good turn out and so pleased there was such a nice group of sausages, I can’t wait for the next one!
Dach’s all for now!
