Yesterday we went to meet our best pal Archie for a catch up – it’s been so long! You may remember that Archie was my first Fridays Furry Friend of the year HERE this was because right before Christmas, Archie was rushed into surgery due to two of his back discs going, unfortunately a common problem amongst us dachshunds. But now he’s on the mend and was up to meeting us for a gentle stroll and a catch up.

It was good to see him up & about and doing so well! He’s making brilliant progress and unless you really knew him, you would never know he’d even had surgery! He was wrapped up warm against the Winter chill as his hair is still growing back from his operation but he still looked like a dapper sausage to me!

We hit the local park for a short gentle stroll for Archie & I whilst we checked out the babes and to see if there were any picnic leftovers (we forgot there are not many people picnic-ing in the Winter!!) Alan on the other hand was off like a rocket chasing squirrels and others dogs, typical Alan!!

Soon it was time for a rest and a coffee at the cafe, I tried to persuade Mum that cake was also required but she was having none of it – spoil sport.

Alan spied what he thought was a horse however it was in fact a greyhound, pretty big compared to our little guy!

I just watched the kids running around the playground, why is it they don’t let us pooches in there? I would just love a go on the swings!

After all that squirrel chasing it appeared we had finally worn Alan out and he needed to take a nap, poor pup!

Whilst my best buddy enjoyed some Winter sunshine on his face and rested up…

It was so nice to catch up with you Archie, you’re doing so well!
