After spending a week with my little human cousin, it made me think about the special bond we have and why little humans are good for us pooches, and vice versa.

When Mum & Dad brought me home, my human cousin had just turned 1 year old, so we were just both babies. We have both grown up quite a lot in the last year and both look very different from those first photos (I look pretty handsome). A special bond has developed, even more so when he learnt to speak and repeats my name over and over, especially when we play together.

There are many benefits to our friendship, he can give me a lift round the park when my legs get a bit tired…

He can fuss and stroke me and occasionally gives me a kiss when he’s feeling extra friendly, I do reciprocate however my kisses are slightly wetter…

He takes me down the snowy slopes so I don’t have to brave it alone…

When I get dirty from our walks, he bathes me in nice warm water and I get to play with his fun water toys…

And then he dries me off in a nice fluffy towel..

We’ve been toilet trained together…

And experienced new foods together…

And of course spend hours playing together!

But best of all not only are we pals, we’re family.
