We’ve not been up to a lot this weekend, no wild adventures, no squirrels caught or Bonio’s theived given to us I’m afraid but I do have a few snapshots to share with you. As most of you know, Alan went for his ‘Man Op’ on Friday and as well as having his ‘plums’ removed he also had the extra toes on his back feet that he was born with removed too.
He’s recovered so quickly, Mum says he did much better than I did but I’m not convinced, so I made sure that she knew I was still here on Friday afternoon when she was looking after Alan. This was achieved by tossing my bed around, whining at her to throw a toy (which is the duck Alan received for his birthday) and rolling around the floor whilst snorting.
By Saturday you would not know Alan had even had an operation, he was back to normal chasing the cats with me and generally causing mayhem as we weren’t able to go for a walk until Alan had completely recovered. Mum produced a ‘get well toy’ for Alan, a honking pig which I have to say, rather takes my fancy!
Today normal life has resumed and we met some friends at the park for a gentle stroll, Archie was there of course and we got to catch up with my buddy Otto aka Mr Foxy as we haven’t seen him and his Mum for AGES, it was a good morning!
And this afternoon we have been doing what dachshunds do best, sunbathing!
Dach’s all for now – I hope you too had a relaxing weekend!
