A Check Up From The Neck Up

One evening last week Mum said we were just ‘popping out’, how many times do I have to remind myself you can never trust your human when they say this? Especially when we rocked up outside the vets, apparently it was my annual check-up and vaccination time, all I could hope for was that there would be some kind of treats involved.

I decided to take it like a man, I mean, this isn’t the first time I’ve been to the vets and it’s Nanny and Auntie Shelley’s place of work so I know the staff pretty well. I checked in at reception and said hello to Karen, I do get the gold star treatment as she gave me a fuss and a treat. Result.

I caught up with some reading whilst in the waiting room, the magazine selection was pretty apt…

Mum said it was probably best I had my weigh-in whilst waiting so I hopped up on the scales…

How much?!?!?! I may need to lay off the Bonios a little…

I took a peek into the consult room to see if my doctor vet Pete was ready for me…

But first of all Pete and I had to say hello, have a catch up and of course, I got a fuss!

I think I might just be his favourite patient, of course…

I was brave, it was just a quick pin prick and check up. I also has my kennel cough inoculation, a very brief squirt up the nose and all done! I got a treat at the end and asked Pete to sign off my vaccination card, ready for next year.

I checked out the leaflet selection on the way out and spotted someone that looked a bit familiar, well I am the face of Temple End Vets after all!

Dach’s all for now – stay healthy and make sure you get a yearly check up with your vet!
