When Mum & I looked at the weather forecast on Friday, we knew today would be a good day to meet up with some dachshund friends for a leisurely stroll and a catch up, and we were right!

We met at our local haunt, Higginson Park in Marlow, we know the route well, there are coves for a quick dip in the river and a Costa coffee to top up our caffeine intake (that the humans, not the sausages, however I am partial to latte froth!)

Once the troops had gathered we were off, heading to the river!

And it wasn’t long before we found our first beach where we could take a cooling dip in the water, however, it seems this particular beach had also attracted some canoeists…

My pal Rodney is always partial to a long lounge in the river, he loves it!

And he’s also keen on helping me sniff out those critters!

After everyone had gathered their sausages from the water, we set off again along the river taking in the pretty sites and basking in the sun to dry off…

Once we had finished our route, we headed back to the park where we could indulge in an ice cream…

And take part in the obligatory group shot, keep your eyes peeled for anyone not looking in the right direction!

Before we said our goodbyes, there were more photos to be taken…

Then we decided before heading home, we’d make the most of the glorious weather by having a cool drink in the park, so we headed to the cafe, I knew the way…

We did a bit of babe people watching whilst we waited for the Dad’s to return with our drinks…

I even showed our new pal Lenny the ropes on how to be a seducing sausage…

Why can’t these two just look in the right direction?! Have I taught them nothing?!?!

So we waited for our drinks…

And waited…

But it was worth the wait!
