Puppy Party Pooped

As you have probably already guessed, I was baking biscuits for my best friend Harvey’s birthday which was today! So of course we had a little party to celebrate Harvey turning 6.

Schnauzer Birthday

We started off with some traditional party games, first up was musical chairs however this didn’t last long as there was only 3 of us participating and I am too short small to get up on the chair, besides Mum won’t let me jump up and down off chairs – something to do with my back apparently (boring!).

We then decided pass-the-parcel would work but this had to be supervised by Nanny as Hattie kept thinking it was HER birthday and running off with the present!

But Harvey got bored of waiting around for his turn with HIS present so Nanny suggested sleeping lions would work (I think this was because Harvey was pretty much doing it already) and this was a pretty easy game to play.

After all the excitement of party games it was finally time for Harvey to open his presents and I was SO excited as there’s nothing like watching your best pal open a present you personally made for them (plus I wanted a cheesy biscuit). I have named them in honour of my best friend ‘Schnauzer Schnacks’.

It’s a well known fact that us pups love a bit of wrapping paper ripping. Christmas was carnage. So Mum and Nanny had to hold Hattie and I back from helping Harvey unwrap his present, well it was his birthday after all!

But after about 30 seconds an hour, I was way too excited to be held back from such fun and I know that Harvey would have wanted to share so I bowled in and helped him out with that last tricky bit of paper.

Obviously Harvey needed a friend to help test out his new toy and who else is better qualified for this than me?

Nanny pointed out that for health and safety reasons the label from Harvey’s new toy needs to be removed, I told her I was man enough for the job and would take care of that!

Finally, the long anticipated wait for cheesy homemade biscuits was over and I think from the crumbs all over Nanny’s living room, they went down really rather well – good enough for second helpings anyway!

All in all it was the best birthday I’ve ever been to (even if it was the first) and it was so nice to spend it with my best buddy Harvey – Happy Birthday pal!

Dach’s all for now!
