Fridays Furry Friend

Happy Friday everyone! This week has flown by pretty quickly, I think this is due to the fact that Alan & I have been busy helping Grandad as he has started work on our house. We’ve made sure to make him lots of cups of tea & lick the dregs for him, nibble on his sandwiches and annoy him with our squeaky chipmunks – just call us Helpful Hounds!

This weeks Furry Friend is a little different to the norm, well I do like to mix it up a bit & it just goes to show that you don’t have to be sausage dog, never mind a dog, to grace the Fridays Furry Friend entry! The lovely folks over at College Farm follow us on Twitter and have an amazing alpaca called Brian! And what’s even funnier is, they have an Alan as well! It just makes us chuckle everytime and we are so pleased they wanted to be our Furry Friend this week! Katharine from College Farm will explain more…

Dear Jeffrey
I’m writing on behalf of Brian the Alpaca who lives with us at College Farm and his other alpaca & llama friends. Brian loves meeting our guests especially if they bring delicious carrots for him to eat. He’s not the brightest of alpacas but he’s definitely the most popular and has even had his picture taken with some of the couples who get married at College Farm.
Our senior alpaca is called Alan, just like your friend Alan. Our Alan is very shy and always stays at the back keeping an eye on the herd. Last year Brian’s friend, Hilda, gave birth to Frank and he likes running round the field with Brian. Our other alpaca is Barry and he’s very friendly too. The beautiful llamas in the group are called Lily & Lulu. They all live happily together with our chickens and give me, their Mummy, lots of love and make me laugh every day.
I attach a couple of photographs for you to see how lovely everyone is.
With love to you & Alan

I love the alpacas and llamas. They’re so woolly and have wonderful names. Mum is wary of llamas as she was bitten (?) by a llama at Antwerp zoo when she was a little girl (a very long time ago). He was probably giveing her a kiss!
Glad to hear that you’ve been so helpful. I’m sure Grandad really appreciates your input. Keeeeep helping.
    Regards.
