It’s Shrove Tuesday today so Dad decided he’d whip up a stormy batter in the kitchen and make us some pancakes! We threw on our bibs (well, you don’t want batter in your chest wig) and gave Dad the puppy dog eyes…

It seemed to work as it wasn’t long before he let me ‘help’ toss a few pancakes. I’m not gunna lie, when one landed on the floor and he said ‘oh, you’ll have to have that one Jeff’ it wasn’t exactly an accident…

After the fifth pancake I tossed landed on the floor, Dad was cottoning on to my game plan so we had to help somewhere else by laying the table and getting the pancake essentials ready…

Dad had made us our very own special pancakes in the shape of sausage dogs and bones, he said once we’d laid the table, all we had to do was wait patiently, easier said than done…

They smelt so good!

Just one lick…

They tasted amazing!

And the little dude enjoyed them too!

Dach’s all for now – a deal’s a deal so I’m off to do the washing up…
