Serenity Pet Waterless Dog Shampoo Review

We were contacted by a company called Serenity Pet to see if we would like to review their Waterless Pet Shampoo. This was not something we had ever heard of before so we were very intrigued!

Serenity Pet Shampoo

Once the product arrived, we thought it best to do some research and it sounded like something we could definitely make use of!

Serenity Pet describe their waterless shampoo as:

Our no rinse formula turns into a gentle cleansing foam as you rub it in to the fur. This foam breaks down oil, grease, dirt and other organics which is then taken away as you towel off. It is easy to do, much less stressful and messy than using water. Simply apply, massage in and thoroughly towel off. Simple!

The Waterless Pet Shampoo is not only available for dogs but cats and horses too! It is:

    • Ethically sourced
    • Natural ingredients
    • No Parabens or nasty chemicals
    • Alcohol free
    • Skin safe
    • Gorgeous Scent
    • Marvellously effective

The fact that the shampoo is alcohol free and skin safe definitely appealed to our Mum as my brother Alan has issues with dry & sensitive skin.

The bottle arrived in a sturdy zip lock bag which is great to avoid any annoying spillages, also good if you were to take this away with you on your travels to keep it stored in. The only criticism of the packing was of the bottle itself, it bares the Serenity Pet logo and instructions on how to apply this to your dog but other than that, the bottle label was a bit bland. But it’s the product inside that really counts…

When Mum said we had to test this new shampoo I headed straight to the bathroom like a good boy (well I do normally get a treat when bathed) but she said the bath and shower wouldn’t be necessary this time, how bizarre I thought!

One thing I did notice when Mum handed me the bottle, was how amazing it smelt, and that was with the bottle still closed! It smells gorgeous, of summer berries, something that you would definitely want to rub all over your body! Nanny & Mum were so jealous that they wanted to try it on their own hair!!

Our first test dog up was Alan (don’t worry, he wasn’t scared, thats just his face!) Nanny poured the clear liquid into the palm of her hand and then rubbed it all over him. It lathered up quite quickly and you could see the dirt lifting from his coat.

I was up next as she wanted to ‘save the best till last’ as she thought my thicker coat may be more of a challenge for the shampoo.Serenity Pet Shampoo

Nanny lathered me up good & proper, my hair was no match for the shampoo and it was soon cleaning and making my coat smell delicious!

Following the instructions on the bottle, Mum & Nanny wrapped us up & towel dried us off. We were dry in no time and smelling like a fruit salad – yummy!

This product is ideal for those of you that go on long hiking weekends or camping with muddy dogs as it’s a quick way to wash them down and freshen them up. Our Mum decided it would the perfect thing to pack in the car on days out where she knows it’s likely we will get muddy or roll in stinky fox poo (thats you Alan). It’s also a fab product for those dogs who dislike being very wet, submerged in water or showered down.
