Well it’s Bank Holiday Monday and as promised, I am revealing the winner of the Summer Sausage Snaps Competition! I am so pleased with the response we have had to the competition, we have had some AMAZING entries, some creative, some fun and quirky and some which are just plain good looking (well nearly as good looking as me!)

Everyone campaigned for their entries really hard, spreading the word and getting all their friends and family to vote for them. The support for the competition has been truly superb, I can only thank everyone for all their hard work, especially the participants.

So before we announce the winner, let’s have a recap of the prize to be won from our wonderful sponsor Devoted to Dachshunds, a matching Binky set of apron, tea towel and oven gloves.

All of the 73 entries were brilliant but as per the competition rules, the top 5 entries who gained the most votes were to go through to the draw, here are our top 5:

All of the top 5 are fine examples of dachshunds enjoying their version of summer. After a lot of deliberation (and a few Bonios to help the process along…) I decided it would only be fair to everyone to do a lucky dip draw. I did quite a bit of training for this to build up enough stamina to pick a random winner from the top 5.
