I’m afraid I’ve not posted in the last few days, as I am sure you are all aware it’s been pretty hot and humid so this sausage has been sizzling. It’s been far too hot to carry out my usual adventures and to be honest with you there’s not much to report I’m afraid, I’ve generally been chilling and trying to be a cooler dude than I already am.

So tonight we decided to go down to the river to cool off and to give you a mini Sausage Tail. We came across a very strange scene…

Lot’s of cotton wool like fluff falling from a very tall tree. The sticky stuff was EVERYWHERE and it was like it had been snowing, which would have been very strange in this heat. So I had to investigate further which led to me being wearing a small amount of the white fluffy sticky stuff…

So it was off to beach we went! Well, the mini beach by the river anyway. It was so cooling on my badger digging paws and I’m now getting pretty skilled and going in deeper.

It’s very idyllic by the river, Harvey, Hattie and I have a paddle, Nanny and Mum sit on the bank watching the rowers go by (well we do live on the Thames) and we come out of the river and have a good shake off, we do like to keep Nanny and Mum cool.

Nanny suggested playing poo sticks but I decided that this wasn’t a very good idea when one the participants is long and brown.

And here’s the proof of just how deep I go, just remember I only have small legs…

I hope you are all keeping cool in this heat in your own way, whether it be a swim in the river, a wade in the kids paddling pool or just lying in the shade – Jeffrey’s tip of the day: the paddling pool is not a urinal.
