Sickly Sausage

You may have been wondering (or maybe not) where I have been this week – apologies to all my friends but unfortunately I have been a bit of a poorly pup 🙁

I was feeling a little under the weather last weekend but Mum put it down to me being wormed as I can be a little sensitive to wormers. But I was sick on Tuesday when Mum came home at lunchtime, I don’t know what all the fuss was about really, what’s wrong with a little a vomit in a few places on the cream carpet? (It’s nothing a little ‘Vanish’ can’t sort out!) I was more than happy lounging in my bed feeling sorry for myself but my coat was strapped on and I was whisked off to the doctors vets.

I waited patiently to be seen…

Then was whisked off into another strange room with a table that I was popped on and a strange looking man that wore a funny contraption round his neck.

Tim the vet (who was very nice and gentle) listened to my heart…

And then stuck something up my bottom. How rude! He said it was to check my temperature to see if it was high but I’m not so sure.

Auntie Shelley (my personal vet nurse) then took some blood out of me to test, which was a bit uncomfortable but I was a VERY brave sausage!

And also an x-ray to check I hadn’t swallowed anything I shouldn’t have (huff, like I would do that!!) and that was a very strange experience!! I was a good boy and laid still so I didn’t have to have any knock-out drugs.

Here’s my x-ray, very interesting don’t you think? Looks like a sausage within a sausage! But Auntie Shelley said it was just gas, I have to say, my bottom was making some strange noises…

The nice vet also stuck more needles in me and gave me some drugs to try and help me feel better which it did, I was back to normal within a day or so! After all those very thorough tests it appears I just had a bad tummy bug so I want to reassure you all that I am ok now and back to my normal self, wrestling with Harvey, chasing Sylvie and Snitch and eating Mum out of house and home!

I would also like to say sorry to Mum and Dad and all my friends and family that were all so concerned about me and thank you to the team at the vets that looked after me like royalty, including my Auntie Shelley.

So please don’t worry, my adventures will continue and normal blogging will resume!

Dach’s all for now!

Jeffrey x
