It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

We’ve finally put our Christmas tree up and as it’s my first Christmas I am SO excited! Mum has been telling me all about Santa and that if I’ve been a good boy he will bring me something like a HUGE Bonio or a new toy! I think I’ve been very good, I mean I graduated from puppy class, learnt to hold my bladder and and came third in the Christmas fancy dress competition at training class (blog to follow) so I am certain that counts as being a good boy.

I had so much fun helping with the tree but I’m not sure Dad was so thrilled…

But once it was up it looked so pretty! I think I did a really good job, even if I do say so myself! But I did have a little bit of trouble putting the star on the top. Maybe next year I’ll be able to reach!

This is a really odd tradition, trees belong outside, I think Mum could read my mind and I got a strict talking to about leg-cocking – it’s artificial and it doesn’t need watering (apparently).

Nanny gave me a fancy plaque which is very precious to me as it shows that this is my very first Christmas, this is something that I will treasure and will be put on the tree for many more Christmas’s to come, thanks Nanny!

Let’s be honest though, all the baubles and tinsel look very pretty but no dachshund household should ever be without SAUSAGE DOG Christmas decorations!

And I even dressed my doorstop-buddies in Christmas costumes to get them in the mood (I still think I looked the best!)

Once I had decorated the inside of the house and Dad said ‘it looks like Christmas has thrown up in here’ (how rude!!) Mum and I decided that the outside of our home needed a little Christmas cheer! So we strung some lights in Mum’s bush, no it’s not what your thinking (filthy!!)

I hope you are all enjoying this festive period and getting ready for the presents, turkey/Bonio eating and extra snoozes (so exciting!) Please email me your Christmas photos to sausagetails@live.co.uk and if I get enough, I will do a WHOLE blog on all of you out there!

Dach’s all for now!
