Party Sausage

As I’m still in the festive mood I thought I would share with you the photos of my training class Christmas party. We played some fun games, such as party sausage relay where teams of  pooches had to eat a party sausage and run back and tag the next dog in.

Please note: Mum did have to warn the bigger dogs that I was in fact a sausage dog and not a party sausage they could munch on. A few of them were giving me longing looks and I wasn’t sure if they were eyeing me up for a canape or they may have fancied me? (I am a rather handsome chap!)

We also played the sausage and spoon race – again nothing related to me, it was just a coincidence. Our Mum’s and Dad’s had to have a teaspoon in the same hand that our lead was hooked over and had to get the party sausage on the spoon to the end of the hall and back. Mum and I made a pretty good team until she dropped the sausage – I thought it was a flying treat, yum.

After all the fun and games it was the fancy dress competition. Some of you may have worked out by now that I do like to dress up on the odd occasion, I mean, nearly all costumes look good on me so why not? Mum had got me a special elf costume to fit with the Christmas theme and as soon as I put it on it was like paparazzi after me! So many people wanted my photo, I reckon they were going to use it as the computer screen saver for Christmas period as I looked so darn good!

Now I know this is going to come as a shock to all of you, I know it did to Mum and Nanny (my official photographer for the evening) but I came THIRD!!! What is that all about?!?! I was pretty bemused to say the least!! I mean who can resist a 5 month old pup two inches off the ground with a fluffy beard and mop-a-top wearing an elf suit?! And besides, I was the ONLY one not trying to get my outfit off!! HOW RUDE!!!

I was pissed off pleased that my buddy Max, a border terrier, won as we get on quite well but THIRD? I at least deserved second place over the dog dressed as a Christmas tree that was second??

She was actually quite cute wasn’t she? All in all it was a really fun evening and I’m glad my Nanny came to cheer me on, it was like a Grandparent watching their Grandchild in the school nativity! Everyone looked fab and had put a lot of effort into their costumes, all they need now is to look a little cuter, get the facial expression right, maybe I’ll run some classes for them…

Dach’s all for now!
