Party Sausage Sunday

On Sunday we met up with some lovely sausage friends of ours to celebrate Alan’s girlfriend Edie’s birthday! As soon as we got out of the car, we rushed down to the beach to meet our friends…

Frensham Little Ponds

Edie looked as though she had found something pretty interesting buried in the sand, so I thought it best I take a look in case there was a squirrel that needed ‘dealing’ with…

But I think it’s safe to say Edie can look after herself!

Soon we were off for our jaunt in the Sunday sunshine…

It wasn’t long before we reached the top of the hill to look over beautiful Frensham Little Pond…

And Alan got to have a little catch up with his Edie, just look at them in their his n’ hers harnesses!

Dachshund Climbing

After taking in the view and resting our stumpy little legs, it was time to head back down to the lake however Edie had other plans, silly sausage!

Dachshund Roll Over

But she was soon off again with Fonz, our oldest (and wisest) member of the gang, in tow! Just look at that tongue!

If I remember rightly, Fonz’s Mum said something about him not going in the muddy puddle? I’m not sure he heard her…

But it was ok as we all went into the lake to wash our muddy feet and sandy bellies, first world dachshund problems when you’re only 2 inches off the floor!!

Here’s our newest member Toby, Mum said he’s a mini me! He must be as I think he is one cute wirey pup! Dachshund Swimming

Mum waded into the water expecting us to follow her in, I think our faces say it all…Dachshund Swimming

But it wasn’t long before we were back in the car, wrapped in our towel with the sounds of a pub lunch being muttered amongst our Mum & Dad. My suspicions were indeed correct!

And she bought party hats to the table, NOW it’s a sausage party!

The happy couple, how cute are this chocolate pair?

Even new pup Toby got in on the party hat action, I think my Mum was ready to swap me in for this younger model!

It all just got a bit too much for the birthday girl…

But she was soon awake when her Mum started to cut the birthday cake!

Beautiful Ava and her brother Otto soon perked up too!

And Fonz watched over proceedings to ensure we all got an equal piece, well he & I should get larger ones being the largest in the group, obviously. Sausage Dog Cake

It was suggested we should do the birthday cake outside as it could be a messy business, I didn’t care where I ate it, as long as I could get my chops around a piece! However no one was more eager that Otto who just could NOT wait for the group photo before stuffing his face full of cake, classic!
