Fridays Furry Friend

This week has been pretty quiet, except for Alan’s coughing – poor Alan came down with kennel cough last weekend, the poor little dude. So we’ve been in quarantine together, I felt fine but couldn’t leave the confines of our house as I was classed as a ‘carrier’ as I’d been in contact with the patient. It’s been quite nice catching up with stuff at home whilst we have the time – updating my scrapbook, replying to fan mail and catching up on beauty sleep. We’re coming to the end of a week of house arrest and it’s safe to say Alan is pretty much back to normal but he’s extremely bored, entertaining a 6 month old pup by myself is hard work!

However the bad news is, the bug has got me today and I have started coughing too, it’s not good as I’m getting phlegm in my beard and that means Mum is going to want to wash it. Great. I feel fine in myself, I’m bigger and older than Alan so can cope with things a bit better (thats maturity for you) but it looks like we’re not leaving prison home anytime soon.  I haven’t seen Nanny in a week or Rodney and The H’s, I miss them and could have done with Rodney’s help, he’s much better at wrestling with Alan, he can take the needle teeth. I could really do with a Nanny cuddle but she’ll have to wear scrubs and a face mask, no kisses allowed.

This week’s Furry Friend is a new friend of mine, we met on the Frolicking Friends in Frensham walk back in August. Otto is a rather handsome long haired dachshund, he reminds me of a long and low Nicky Clarke (especially when flipping his hair around in the wind) however I’m not sure I’d trust him with my beard and a pair of scissors….

Hi Jeffrey and co!
Since we met in August on our ‘sausage Sunday’ walk at Frensham, I’ve been meaning to send you some pictures for Friday’s furry friend. For those who don’t know me I am 20 months old, and a miniature long haired shaded red Dachshund. I live on the coast in Hampshire UK with Mum and Dad and my bro Boris the Tortoise.
Mum and Dad love your blog, and since you got Alan I’ve been pining for a sibling too!
Love Otto x
