What better way to burn off those extra Easter calories and get ready for the summer than a Giant Dachshund Walk and the big bonus – it’s for charity!

My pals Wolfgang and Wilhelm of Knitted by Dachshunds have been very busy organising a charity walk for Last Chance Animal Rescue in Kent.

They have organised a Giant Dachshund Walk for all their sausage friends and of course, other small pooches too. The walk is for a very good cause and will be raising money for Last Chance Animal Rescue who do amazing work rescuing and helping dogs, cats and other small furries.

Last Chance Animal Rescue Centre is a registered charity based in Kent, UK – near Sussex, Surrey & London.

• They rescue, rehabilitate and re-home dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs.

• All our animals are health checked, inoculated & identi-chipped.

• They have a full neutering policy.

• Carry out home checks and are able to re-home to most areas of the UK.

• They operate a no destruction policy

This AMAZING event will take place on Saturday 27th April 2013 at Painshill Park  in Surrey from 11am – 2pm. Not only will it be a lovely walk but there will also be prizes and goodies and a chance to meet lots of other like-minded people!

If you would like to go, then all you need to do is make a donation using the fundraising page to take advantage of the reduce entry fee of £3 to Painshill Park. Husse London North – who are the main sponsor, they are donating 50 Husse goodie bags for the first 50 walkers (who have already donated) arriving on the day. They will be selling healthy pet food & treats on the day, with 10% of sales going to Last Chance Animal Rescue, and a further percentage to Painshill Park.

Even if you can’t make it then please donate, you’ll pretty much be sponsoring us sausages to walk on your behalf on our little stumpy legs!
