Sir Jeffers Meets Sir Steve

Well this morning my pal Archie and I experienced something very strange, 2000 Santa’s running in aid of charity! And joining them was my Dad and Archie’s parents, Mum said it was better that she watched and looked after us boys, she say’s there hasn’t been a good enough sports bra invented yet however Dad says it’s an excuse –  Archie & I were just grateful for the walk.

Marlow Santa Run

Archie & I decided that if they were going to dress up then we were too, we threw on our Santa hats and walked to the park. I think we got more attention than my Dad dressed in a VERY tight Santa Morph Suit, well we are cuter!

However getting a photo of us facing the same way proved tricky, we are Dachshund’s after all so are easily distracted…

Sausage Dog Santa

I have to say, two sausage dog’s in Santa hats did create quite a stir , especially as I’m turning into a bit of a celeb round my way. However, the general public of Marlow were in for a real treat when a dog celebrity met an Olympic celebrity, Sir Steve Redgrave! Sir Steve lives in Marlow too so was there running as a Santa to help raise money for South Bucks Hospice, we did gather a crowd, I mean, what’s better than a top celeb with a cute (almost) famous sausage dog?

Mum had to be in the photo too to hold me, Sir Steve Redgrave is way over 6ft and I’m barely 1ft, the photo would have to been taken a mile away!

It was a good morning all round and I’m glad the bizarre sight of 2000 Santa’s running the streets raised lots of money for Charity!

Dach’s all for now!
