Today was a special day for the oldest of The H’s, Hattie celebrated her 10th birthday! In honour of her reaching the big 1-0, I decided to crack open my Lily’s Kitchen cookbook and bake her a special something.
I reckon it’s a scratch & sniff book…
I chose to make the Lily’s Kitchen birthday cake as I knew that everyone would enjoy it. After slaving away in the kitchen, my cake was finally cooked!
It looked ok…
And smelt ok…
But I suggested Alan & I give it the taste test anyway, you know, just in case…
After deciding it was safe, I went ahead with the cream cheese icing and decorated Hattie’s cake.
Ta dah!
Again, we had to be sure it was ok to give this to Hattie, we wouldn’t want an old lady to get ill now would we?
I also used my own paw money to buy Hattie the dogs equivalent of a box of chocolates, a box of gravy bones!
Mmmmmmm, one of my favourites! (I may have licked the box, just a little)
We went over to Nanny’s and woofed Happy Birthday to Hattie before revealing our creation, she seemed impressed!
She too gave it the taste test, I think she liked it?
She said she loved it and was proud of me, it’s always nice to make an old older lady happy.
Soon it was time to dish out Hattie’s birthday cake, we were all so excited as it smelt delicious!
Hattie wanted to check that she had the best bit…
And for those that were wondering, yes that is Rodney’s piece on the far right!!
Dach’s all for now – Happy Birthday Hattie, we love you!
