It’s been a festive weekend of visiting friends and family to exchange gifts before the big day arrives. I had to give the gifts a sniff of course, just to check that they weren’t edible and Alan might steal them, well that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Alan & I have been ‘helping’ Mum to wrap up some presents for our family, in dachshund wrapping paper of course. Alan was meant to hold the paper and I was meant to dispense the sellotape, it didn’t quite work out so we were banished to the other side of the living room to dispose of the wrapping paper tubes, aka chew them up.
It’s ok, Mum managed to do the wrapping all by herself…
I’ll just hand them out and tell people I wrapped them, they’ll never know.
We even made our own gift tags using the Jeffrey stamp Mum had made for the wedding stationary, everything is better with a little bit of Jeffrey!
The creativity didn’t stop there, Mum & I even made our own Christmas crackers! Mum wanted some sausage dog crackers and the best way to achieve this was to make our own, I had to check whether they contained Bonio’s or not by sniffing out the best ones and putting them aside for Alan and I…
Some may say we’re crackers to have a sausage dog themed Christmas but it’s all just a bit of fun, Christmas wouldn’t be the same without being sprinkled with a little bit of dachshund magic!
Dach’s all for now!
