So here it is, the instalment of Mum & Dad’s wedding that you’ve all been waiting for! So let’s start with a few of the details…
Favours, Sweet Williams seeds for the ladies (our surname is Williams but I still use ‘The Dachshund’)
And Sweet Chilli jam for the boys, note all with the Jeffrey logo…
The sweetie bags, also sporting a Jeffrey…
And the flowers may have had a dachshund theme too…
Auntie Shelley & Uncle Chris made these amazing (and very bright) S & J that Mum wanted so much, she loved them and Dad and I have a funny feeling she’s going to want to mount them on our living room wall, all 4 feet high of them…
My GrandNan (Nanny’s Mum) took on the HUGE task of making the wedding cake, what an amazing job she did! Not only did it look fabulous but it tasted pretty darn good, so I’ve been told (but I may have had a sneaky lick)…
One amazing cake flanked by two very awesome cake figurines! Auntie Shelley handmade these beautiful figures of Mum & Dad in their wedding attire, detailed right down to Mum’s vintage hair comb, my bow tie and even little Alan was added even though we hadn’t collected him yet! It was nice he could be a part of our day.
Mum & Dad invited people to enter the Great Wedding Bake Off, to make a bake that could be added to the cake table for the afternoon tea, it was a big hit and some people even got into the spirit with the dachshund theme.
And no cake table is complete without a tower of meringues for our favourite dessert, Eton Mess! Stand and yummy meringues made by my Auntie Shelley & Uncle Chris.
So, now to the important photos – The Wedding!
Starting at home, I helped Mum to get ready at Nanny’s, obviously.
* My dapper collar, lead & bow tie set was made by the very lovely Maria at Walk Me This Way
Waiting for Mum and Grandad with Nanny, the moment is nearly here…
It was time for the big I Do’s.
Carrying out my ring bearer duties, I think I did well, I didn’t eat loose the rings or anything!
I thought I’d help sign the register too, I was a witness after afterall.
Pimms on the lawn and some fuss from some ladies…
Thought I’d have a little rest so Dad offered to carry me…
We went off for our own little family photo shoot, a special time for us…
My favourite ladies, Mum, Nanny & Auntie Shelley…
I’d better include Grandad too, he does feed me my dinner!
And the whole gang…
The first dance…
So there you have it! The big day is all over and done with and we have these beautiful photos to reflect back on. Mum, Dad & I would like to thank you all for your support over the last year, I know the blog hasn’t been very active, especially the last couple of months but at least you can see why now!
So Alan has arrived, we are a little family unit and I couldn’t be a happier sausage – here’s to more Sausage Tails coming your way!
Dach’s all for now!
