We’ve had a lovely sunny Bank Holiday and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Mum & Dad WE were busy doing some gardening, Dad’s done Tough Mudder and we had a couple of relaxing walks in the sunshine.
I mainly did a lot of this…
Hattie, Harvey and I went to the park for a walk in the sun. My park had been taken over by a French market, even though a German one would have been better (me being a dachshund) the French one still smelt of interesting things – cheese, garlic and SAUSAGE!! Nanny treated me to my first ever Mr Whippy ice cream which was amazing, I think that will have to become a regular thing…
Then it was back to Nanny & Grandad’s for the first BBQ of the season, Grandad had bought a brand new BBQ that morning so we HAD to give it a whirl! Here I am helping Nanny make sure the sausages are cooked properly, no one likes a burnt sausage…
This was swiftly followed by Pimms o’clock on the patio, it was getting a bit hot by the BBQ and Mum was concerned about meĀ singeing my beard, as if! I did discover Pimms comes with fruit, so it must be good for me right?
After sampling the sausages and having a cheeky tipple it was time to move onto the more serious business of pudding, summery eton-mess to be precise. Now I will admit when I was ‘looking’ at Mum’s bowl full of eton-mess, a bit of cream just jumped out of the bowl and onto my nose, unbelievable! So I HAD to lick it off, just to make sure that the cream had been whipped to perfection…
I hope you all had fun-filled Bank Holidays too?
Dach’s all for now,
