Park Pals

Last weekend my hoobro Joey & I ventured out to a local park that we hadn’t actually investigated before. I mean, this is unheard of because I like to make sure that I am aware of all squirrel activity in my area!

Off we set on our adventure! The park was on an island so we had to cross a bridge to get to it, I was brave and walked over by myself, I wasn’t carried by Mum at all, Ok well maybe just a little bit…

It wasn’t long before we came across some ducks to feed, I made sure to keep an eye out for those pesky squirrels trying to steal the food…

We found some fun things to climb, Joey could pretend to be Indiana Jones climbing the rope bridge & I could take on the Crocodile Dundee role, all I needed was the cork hat…

My hound nose soon kicked into gear & I thought I could smell something furry, squirrels perhaps? I followed the scent, Joey hot on my heels, and much to our surprise it was something else that was indeed small & furry…

The island had guinea pigs!!! I mean, what are are the chances?! After the excitement of meeting them , sniffing them & generally eyeballing them, it was time to rest my paws whilst Joey took in the view…

We also found our very own waterfall! Dad corrected me & said it was in fact a weir but a waterfall sounded far more exotic & adventurous to Joey & I…

Before we knew it our adventure was coming to an end, Mum said it was time to head home for dinner, pasta for Joey & sardines for me, so we decided to hitch a ride back from a friendly island native…

Dach’s all for now – here’s looking forward to our next wild adventure!
