Is anyone else watching Paul O’Grady’s For The Love Of Dogs programme on Thursday evenings? Mum, Alan & I have dinner at Nanny & Grandad’s every Thursday as Dad ABANDONS us to go and coach Judo, so we all settle down to watch the show. I say ‘settle down’ however Hattie (OAP Schnauzer) loves to bark, gruff and whine at ALL the dogs on the TV so we have to try and listen to the sad and happy tales that Paul tells us whilst Hattie says barks her piece at the dogs she ‘think’s’ are in her living room. Old age. We love For the Love Of Dogs, I always remind Alan how lucky we are to have such a loving family which includes Grandparents and doggy pals.
This weeks Furry Friend comes to us from the USA, Jasper Alabama to be precise. Winston is a rather handsome Wheaton Wirehair Dachshund and he shares his home with the sweet Maggie Mae – love the name! Over to you Winston…
Hey, My name is Winston , I’m a 10 year old Wheaton wirehair mini dachshund. I live in Jasper, Alabama with my Mom, Dad and Fur sister, 14 year old Maggie Mae– a black wirehair and George Clooney ,the cat. I love to play ball , I will fetch as long as you will throw it. My Mom thinks I’m the most handsome dog in town. She does do a lot of bragging about you , Alan and your lovely Lottie and has shared your pics with all of her family. You see , our family has a lot of dachshunds , my ‘Aunt’ has 2, had 3 but Miss Brandy passed away in Feb., one of my ‘cousins’ has a black & tan named Siena–their honeymoon spot, my ‘sister’ has a “cavoodle” named Mosby– we love him even though he’s not a “Sausage Dog” and is a lot taller than all of us. Maggie and I go to work everyday with Mom & Dad at our Hardware store. Customers come by to see us and bring us treats, we especially love when the kids come by. WinstonJasper, Alabama
