Fridays Furry Friend

Well we are very nearly all packed up, furniture is going into storage, my food & treats are going up to Nanny’s (naturally) and I have a suitcase full of toys ready. Mum has told me there is just no point in taking my toys to Nanny & Grandad’s for our stay as Rodney, aka Crocodile Jaws, will only destroy them in a matter of minutes seconds however Mum needs to understand that there is just no way I can go anywhere for more than a few days without my squeaky chipmunk, what is a sausage to do?!

Works on our house are coming along nicely, Grandad is making lots of mess so it really is time for us to relocate. However I have been onsite this week checking the workmanship and I’m sure even once we have moved out this weekend I will be able to bring you some updates on how Chez Sausage Tails is coming along.

This weeks Furry Friend is in memory of a special wirey boy, Stanley, who sadly passed away at the end of last year. Unfortunately Stanley was unexpectedly diagnosed with kidney failure and Sam, his hoom-mum, had to make that horrible decision that all dog-parents fear they may have to make one day for us.

Stanley was a really lovely boy, we had the pleasure of meeting Stanley & Sam on some group walks and kept in contact via Facebook. It really is sad and we would like to take this opportunity to pass on our condolences to Sam and her family.

Hi Jeffrey ,
I’ve often thought about emailing a photo over of Stanley for Friday’s Furry Friend, but I never ever got around to it. Now he’s gone I would really love to see him as FFF, would you do him (and me) the honour of making him so?  I know I will end up blubbing my eyes out if I see him up there, I miss him so so much I can’t even begin to describe the hurt it leaves you with when they’ve gone.
Stanley being put to sleep was totally unexpected, it transpired that he had kidney failure, which dogs don’t respond to treatment well for, so I had not time to even try and mentally prepare for the inevitable and had to make the decision that was best for him there and then. He came through spinal surgery at the age of ten and a half without any problems, he was such a stoic little boy and although I am quite obviously biased, he was one in a million.
I’ve attached some photos of Stanley, the love of my life, for you to choose from if he is FFF,
Sam x

Mum and I are in tears as we read about the lovely Stanley and send best wishes and hugs to Sam. Smiles will come back as happy memories begin to fill the dreadful void that Stanley has left.
    Best wishes,
    Finn
