We are always on the hunt for new walks near us to try out, different sights, sounds & of course, cafes! So, on Auntie Shelley’s recommendation, we headed over to Black Park this morning to see what it was all about. After we parked the car & all piled out, it wasn’t long before we found a trail that looked enticing…
The views seemed nice…
And the water inviting!
Inviting enough for our resident dolph-hund Rodney to clamber straight in!
The Beast just loves a wade, the water here was so clear, I wondered if the fish would swim up & nibble on his little Rodney!! LOL!
After all that walking & wading, it was soon time to rest our stumps legs and chill out, the prime opportunity for all the lads to have a group dog-on-a-log shot, or should be boys-on-a-log?!
After enjoying a coffee by the lake, latte for me & Mum (as per usual), it was time the hounds & I headed for the woods for some proper exploring…
I even found a little wigwam for us to make camp in! We have sausages but who brought bacon for the fire?
Alan, always on high alert for those squirrels!
After posing on this very interesting rock it was soon time to try & find the car so we could head home. Alan said he should have bought a compass so he could navigate our way out… I told him all we needed to do was read the signs – silly sausage! However I didn’t bring my spectacles so I relied on Rodders nose to guide us back…
We soon found the car and headed home for a snooze in the warm Autumn sunshine and a roast dinner after another lovely weekend walk, the perfect Sunday!
Dach’s all for now – please can you pass the gravy…
