And They Call It Sausage Love…

As an distinguished gentleman of the dachshund world, I thought it was my duty to teach young Alan the ways of wooing a lady, especially on the most romantic day of the year, Valentines Day.

Dachshund Valentines

We donned our Valentines-appropriate outfits and firstly I taught him how to strike a sexy and seductive pose…

He’ll get there with some practice…

Of course I got my Lovely Lottie a card and some nice heart shaped treats so I explained to Alan that if he wanted to woo the girl of his dreams then a Valentines card and something yummy to eat can go a long way…

He even wrote the card all by himself!

I am sure you all will have guessed by now that the object of Alan’s not-so-secret sausage crush is the very cute Edie! She was very pleased with her Valentines treat so I think it’s safe to say I have taught this young grasshopper well…

And of course my Lovely Lottie appreciated the love I sent her in a card (sealed with my own lick) and heart shaped treats, she ripped the wrapping paper off like a pro!

I told Alan to just play it cool when the postman arrived, if he didn’t bring anything then it didn’t mean Edie doesn’t reciprocate his sausagey love, she may just express it in another way (I was hoping by sending steak in the post but it just wasn’t meant to be). Alas! The postman came and there it was, a red envelope addressed to Alan!

He was just SO excited!

He said he could even smell Edie on it…

And it tasted of her too, I’m not quite sure what he meant by that…

Mum helped him to open the card, he loved the little dachshunds on the front kissing, they were chocolate, just like Alan & Edie!

Mum said he mustn’t chew it and he must treasure it as it was his first ever Valentines card, easier said than done…

Edie had even written a very cute poem and message in the card, she had put so much effort in! It was signed anonymously but we all know it was you Edie!

Alan just kept staring at his card full of love, he was so pleased!

He kept wishing that maybe Edie would jump out of the card like a surprise present to deliver her licks to him herself…

So there you have it, Alan’s first Valentines and he is one smitten sausage!

Dach’s all for now – lots of love to you all!
