It’s been one of those Sundays, you know, the one’s where you get lots done however feel generally chilled out. Today started with a nice lie-in, it’s been a busy week so I had some beauty sleep to catch up on.

Then I decided to help Mum out with some good old homely baking, Mary Berry was our chosen recipe book, Mum likes a classic. I pretty much did everything except for crush the biscuits for the base, zest and juice the limes, mix the condensed milk, cream etc together and whip the cream. So I basically just checked the cream was whipped to the required standard by giving it a firm lick but that’s not the point – it’s the taking part that counts.

Baking was quite tiring so I took some time out to potter round the garden and check the weed situation – well that’s what I told Mum anyway, what I was actually doing was topping up my tan and catching some winter rays. And this was only because Sylvester the cat was hogging the sun patch in the lounge, how rude?

This afternoon I met up with my buddy Archie for a coffee and a lap around the park to look out for babes whilst the weather was dry and sunny. Not many babes but it was a good walk nevertheless and the cafe was serving a particularly tasty batch of lattes.

After all the walking, babe spotting and chasing Archie I was pretty tired by the time I got home so I had to resort to having a Sunday afternoon power nap to recharge my sausage batteries.

After a very refreshing snooze it was off to Nanny’s for roast dinner and wrestling with my best friend Harvey. I decided to share the key lime pie Mum I had made with my family, here’s one I made earlier…
