A Sausage Standing With Giants

Today we took a chilly, very muddy family walk to visit the M40 Soldiers. Some of you may have seen this featured on the news recently, artist Dan Barton has created and installed 101 6ft tall Armistice day Soldier Silhouettes to commemorate the end of WW1 & 75 poppy wreathes to commemorate D Day at The Aston Rowant Nature Reserve.

Of course my hoobro Joey was there to take in the sight with me…

Making friends as ever…

It was such a damp foggy morning but it seemed to make the scene even more poignant & moving.

And of course Rodney & Joey got involved in some fun with the poppys!

A really beautiful display & so well done. If you’d like some more information on the installation, head over to the dedicated Facebook page HERE

Dach’s all for now – off for a bath, mud does not mix well with a low-riding hound…
